I got my copy of windows 7 via digital purchase, and after running the downloaded EXE was left with the contents of a setup CD in a folder. Now i want to do a clean install so I need to create a bootable DVD. A bit of googling revealed the way to do this. Download and install WAIK for windows 7 from microsoft. Install it, and then use the command line as follows…

5BT sport does work on Windows 7
If you have BT sport and try to view it on a Windows 7 PC you will find several warnings and the content may even not play. This is done entirely deliberately by BT (at Microsoft’s behest?) for no technical reasons what-so-ever. You can easily get it working again

0Getting OpenZWave working with Home Assistant
I am slowly migrating my smarthome setup to HomeAssistant which, as with most open-source projects, is pretty unfriendly to start with and takes some learning to use. I have an Aeotec ZStick and an Aeotec Doorbell 6 which work via Z‑Wave and I wanted to customise the tones and reduce the volume a little. You’d think it would be easy right?

5How to Root the HTC Desire HD & install a custom ROM
I’ve recently been asked to root a HTC Desire HD and put a custom ROM onto it. I agreed to, despite some reluctance — hacking my own HTC Desire was quite a hassle and involved lots of research and considerable time. … Lees het volledige artikel
0Google removes ad blocking apps: Get them here
It seems that the formerly “do no evil” google have decided to remove all ad blocking apps from the Play Store. 0Remove driver preventing windows from booting
I recently tried installing AMD StoreMI on my Windows 2022 server. Big mistake — it immediately failed to boot with a BSOD. And this was just after installing — I hadn’t even run the program. So the first lesson is not to trust AMD’s software — absolutely shocking!

3Removing Firefox plugins, addons & extensions
Nearly 18 months ago I wrote a brief note about how to [intlink id=“54” type=“post”]remove certain firefox plugins, addons and extensions[/intlink] which don’t have a “remove” button in the Add-ons manager. I have updated and added to the original list, and will continue to add any further plugins I encounter here. If in doubt there is usually no harm done by leaving or removing any plugins, addons or extensions. I advise removing all of those that you don’t use as they are using memory and processing resources and slow firefox down. In some cases the stability of the browser can even be undermined by plugins.… Lees het volledige artikel
