দিন কয়েক আগে আমি একটি ত্রুটি শুরু আমার HTPC when I tried to change library locations — either adding or removing. Media Center shows the error which says “A necessary component of windows media center did not start properly. Restart windows media center”. I understand this error can also affect Media Center Extenders
Some googling resulted in about 30 links. It seems this error can be caused by a variety of problems which I will attempt to list below in case the solution that worked for me doesn’t work for you. I had the same issue with my WMC. Also acessing WMC picture and video libraries closed WMC. I also noticed ইন্টারনেট was closing immediately on launch.
i tried running WMC as Administrator and this worked, however did not resolve when i ran as a normal user — albeit that user was an admin user. I then tried Windows repair at major geeks and this did resolve all!!
