A quick note of warn­ing about apply­ing Thermal Grease / Heat­sink Com­pound to सीपीयूके. लोड का उपयोग नहीं! Not only will it not work very effect­ively, if you really go over­board it can leak over the sides of the cpu and get under­neath as it has in the image. यह सीपीयू (A pen­ti­um 4) was giv­en to me as “I think its broken”.

When I flipped it over I was­n’t sur­prised — there is so much arc­tic sil­ver com­pound on it that it got below the cpu and shor­ted out sev­er­al pins (mostly top left, some top right and bot­tom centre). The own­er in ques­tion was very lucky — after a thor­ough clean the “broken” सीपीयू came fully back to life
