0Civilization V cheat

This cheat for civ 5 is widely pos­ted already, how­ever every­where I can find it has lazily copied 1 ori­gin­al source, where the instruc­tions are not very help­ful.  So I repro­duce it here in a more help­ful form.

This cheat will enable a “debug mode” pan­el on the left hand side of the screen (some sites say the right, but it came up on the left for me!)

Open the game folder.  (Which is prob­ably loc­ated in Documents\My Games\Civilization V)
Open the file config.ini in a text edit­or (e.g. notepad)
Scroll down to (or search for) the line Debug­Pan­el = 0
Change the 0 to a 1 and save
Run Civ 5.
In the game press the fol­low­ing 3 (THREE) keys in this order…
1. the apo­strophe key ’
2. the slash key /
3. the key at the top left of the key­board above tab and below escape.  on US key­board this has a ~ sym­bol.  On my UK key­board it has 3 weird sym­bols includ­ing ¬
