I’m always looking to keep my internet access as secure as possible. One thing that recent came to light is encrypted SNI. If you don’t know what this is google is your friend. If you want to make use of it in firefox you have to turn it on as it is off by default
in the addresws bar go to about:config and go ahead when warned
Use the search bar to find the setting network.security.esni.enabled and double click to turn it on
In the search bar search for services.sync.prefs.network.security.esni.enabled and click the + button that appears
This second setting tells firefox sync to sync the first preference with firefox sync (assuming you are signed in) so you only have to do this once and it will apply to all your firefox installs
Happy secure browsing.
“Hi James I realise it has been a long while, but I just checked this on windows 11 (build 23H2)…”
