0Website testing tools

I am con­stantly work­ing on both my web­sites and my web serv­er stack with the aim of it being fast, reli­able and secure. New tech­no­lo­gies and new vul­ner­ab­il­it­ies mean a con­stanyl mov­ing tar­get and some­times things that have been pre­vi­ously fixed can recur. As well as main­tain­ing art­icles about many fixes, and a site updates log, I use a range of web­site test­ing tools. As this list has grown it has reached a point where I felt the need to doc­u­ment the ser­vices I use

• W3C HTML5 val­id­at­or: Warn­ings about code that is used by chrome but isn’t part of the stand­ard yet, oth­er­wise all correct
• W3C CSS3 val­id­at­or: No errors at time of writing
• Secur­ity Head­ers Val­id­at­or: Grade A at time of writing
• Moz­illa Obser­vat­ory Secur­ity Check­er: Grade B+ at time of writing
• WebPageTest.org speed test: Grade A at time of writing
• GTmet­rix speed test: Grades A/B at time of writing
• SSL Labs Secur­ity Test: Grade A+ at time of writing
• Google PageSpeed Insights: 98% mobile / 100% desktop at time of writing
• KeyCDN tools: Use­ful inform­a­tion tools, not used for grading
